Job Summary:
The Installation Operator is responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of heavy equipment used in construction projects. This role involves the precise execution of tasks related to the installation of structural components and systems in infrastructure projects, including foundations, utilities, and site preparation. The Installation Operator works closely with site supervisors, engineers, and construction teams to ensure project specifications are met on time and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation & Installation: Operate and oversee the installation of equipment used for civil construction tasks such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and concrete pumps to install foundations, utilities, and other structural components.

Foundation Installation: Ensure proper installation of civil foundations for structures, including but not limited to roads, bridges, buildings, solar farms, and substations.

Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, grading surfaces, and leveling ground to ensure a stable foundation for building.

Compliance & Safety: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and compliance standards, ensuring that equipment is used properly and the site is secure for both personnel and equipment.

Maintenance of Equipment: Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on construction equipment to ensure it is functioning optimally.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose operational issues with construction equipment and provide solutions to minimize downtime.

Team Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other crew members to ensure installation processes are completed efficiently and accurately.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, installation timelines, and material usage for reporting purposes.
Requirements:

Proven experience in operating heavy construction machinery, particularly in civil construction projects.

Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying, and engaging in manual labor for extended periods.

Knowledge of civil installation procedures, including excavation, foundation setting, and utility system placement.

Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, plans, and specifications.

Strong understanding of safety protocols related to civil construction equipment and worksite operations.

Physical ability to operate equipment for extended periods and perform tasks in varying weather conditions and terrain.

Valid certifications for operating specific machinery (e.g., cranes, excavators, forklifts) may be required.

Familiarity with civil construction standards, regulations, and quality control measures.

Highly organized and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain focus to achieve goals independently.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in foundation projects such as transmission lines, substations.

Certifications in safety, such as OSHA 30-hour training.

Technical or vocational training in heavy equipment operation.
Working Conditions:
